Job search in Bulgaria

The Ukrainian, Moldovans, Belarusian, Kyrgyz - representatives of neighboring European countries work in Bulgaria. Offers on the labor market

Seasonal work annually provides temporarily hundreds of vacant seats. However, payment is relatively low due to high competition for seasonal vacancies. Entrepreneurs tend to attract students to this employment in the first place and then offer places to foreigners.

First-class qualified specialists are in demand. Especially in construction, education and IT. There is always a demand for:

  • maid;
  • waiters;
  • cooks;
  • sewing;

laborers for construction.

In the summer season, interest in specialists from the agrarian and tourist spheres increases, but until the end of the influx of tourists, harvesting.

Who can work in Bulgaria?
For a citizen of the country, no work permit is required. It is enough for them to find a suitable vacancy, conclude a contract and start fulfilling their duties.

For foreigners, employment in Bulgaria will require more time, special permits, a contract with the employer. According to the legislation of the country, it is possible to perform legal labor activity:

  • local (indigenous) residents;
  • Foreigners with residence permit (residence permit);
  • employees and non-residents of foreign companies;
  • refugees and persons on whom humanitarian assistance is provided.

For all the others, you need to make a permit for doing business through the embassy or with the help of a potential employer. To do this, you conclude an employment contract and the company that wants to hire you, is engaged in obtaining a work permit.

Documents for working visa

Employees of the Consulate can request additional official documents, but the standard list looks like this:

  • a visa application form;
  • biometric passport (or foreign passport);
  • photo format 3.5 cm by 4.5 cm;
  • medical insurance with a limit of 30 thousand euros for insurance cases;
  • work permit;
  • signed a labor contract with a company or individual on the territory of the country;
  • certificate of absence of previous convictions;
  • place to live in Bulgaria: a lease or purchase of property.

On average, it takes up to 35 working days to process and provide a work visa.
