Slovakia is one of the most promising countries for earnings in Europe. A stable economic situation, a developed service sector, a wide market of offers - all this creates optimal conditions for searching for offers and employment abroad.

Despite the fact that the level of income in the country is much lower than in other countries, it is compensated by low prices for food, services and housing.

Minimum and average salary in Slovakia

A job card is required to work in Slovakia. Otherwise, illegal activities can lead to fines, deterioration of visa reputation, deportation and salary fraud.

The minimum wage in Slovakia is 435 euros subject to full working hours. Lower than in Poland, the Czech Republic, but compensate for more and more reasonable prices for life. The minimum payment per hour is 2.5 euros.

The average salary depends on the profession, the region of work and is kept at the level of 1000 euros. At the same time, there is an inequality of pay for men and women in Slovakia - the latter in similar positions earn 10-20% less.

A few words about taxes

On average, taxes "take" 20-35%. It all depends on income: the higher it is, the higher the income tax. For example, if the total income for the year is less than 35 thousand euros, 19% of the income tax is to be paid. For those whose income is 35 thousand a year and more, up to 32% of taxes will have to be paid.

Additionally, deductions from the salary are delayed:

  • social - up to 9%;
  • medical - 4%.

In total, it turns out that up to 35% of income in Slovenia will be spent on paying taxes and for working people out.

Cost forecast

To assess the costs and prospects for deferred money, you should include in the budget and expenses for basic needs:

  • rental housing - from 300;
  • utility payments - from 150;
  • products up to 200;
  • transport - from 30.

Calculations are made for one person and, if you are going to work with someone, the amount for rent, utility payments will be even lower.

We recommend to look for job offers in which housing and even meals are included. So you can postpone more.
